Imagine being in the dark with no light, no food, no sleep and no peace of mind….Imagine your bowels melting to water at the very thought of being brutally murdered, gang raped or of being left bleeding in the dark to die….
If you really did imagine it and you felt sick to the stomach, how would it be for the thousands of fateful children out there who went through the same or are going through the same? The bitterness of seeing your own country turn to ashes , your family and friends being wiped out ,no innocent days, no shoulder to cry onto ,no games, no school, no laughter or a happy day to look forward to or even worse having to bear a child at a tender age when you are supposed to chase butterflies in the garden…
You can look at the eyes of these kids and see all the years of pain and bitterness.. such intense eyes at such an young age… there is not an ounce of innocence in it or is it there covered by the veils of hatred?
Sad to even think that somewhere among the reasons given for this type of cruelty shown around the world filters to ‘religion’! If not the reason, it will be there referred to by the people who do such heartless deeds! Think of it for a moment ….where is their shame??
I know of people who I meet in my day to day life who refer to god every now and then and sings praises of him but interestingly cant even ‘speak’ good of people around them… and that makes me wonder what actually are they trying to prove?
Who is the true devotee of God?
I once asked a particular friend of mine how much can he actually do something to help the less fourtnate, how much could he sacrifice from his life to help such people … why I asked him ,because of the intense feelings he showed as his love towards god and how do u show your love to god?…. So much that I felt he could dedicate his life to helping others around him….he was fair enough to say he still has a long way to go to do some thing like that…
Not everyone can do something like that…
How many of the so called intense devotees of god could actually wipe the tears of the people around them and offer them as their prayer to the Almighty rather than chanting them or projecting themselves as true religious people???
God taught us all about love….. but never any religion… think about it…

hi Nits
I must congratulate you on your flair for writing & the rich vocab that u possess.
I am sure a person of your type 'the introvert' if i may categorise - but one that dwells on inner thoughts & conversations can channelise emotions effectively. This channelling can be utilised to bring to fore certain compelling thoughts or raise questions to society - that way u can get mor engagement.
Basic rule # 1 of engagement is: provide some consumable facts first.
Rule # 2: Link those facts to people's basic dogmas or what do they stand for?
Rule # 3: ask leading questions?
Rule # 4: dont sound judgemental. write as if u reside as the voice of conscience in the heart of your reader.
regards
anil
